My name is Elena. I am an illustrator based in Milan.
Mi chiamo Elena. Sono un’illustratrice e vivo a Milano.
As a kid, one of my favorite pastimes was scribbling with a big marker. Grown-ups called them doodles, yet to me they were wonderful imaginary creatures. I have never stopped drawing and imagining ever since.
Da piccola, mi divertivo a tracciare segni sul foglio con un pennarello, dando vita a qualcosa che appariva solo come uno scarabocchio, ma che per me era un insieme di creature fantastiche. Da allora, non ho mai smesso di disegnare.
I focus on children’s book illustration and I organize workshops and courses based on an experimental approach.
I see illustration as a way to tell stories, convey emotions, and give shape to imaginary worlds.
Mi occupo di illustrazione per l’infanzia e tengo corsi e laboratori basati su un approccio sperimentale.
Per me l’illustrazione è uno strumento per raccontare storie, trasmettere emozioni e aprire mondi inesplorati.
MY TOOLBOX
Since 2020, I have taken part into events and exhibitions with a group of watercolorists. We have exhibited our works and hosted demonstrations at Monza in Acquarello festival and in Cairate (Varese).
Dal 2020, ho partecipato ad eventi e mostre insieme ad un gruppo di acquerellisti. Abbiamo esposto i nostri lavori e organizzato dimostrazioni durante il festival Monza in Acquarello e a Cairate (Varese).
